Face carts toward the street the night before pickup or by 4 a.m. on your scheduled service day. Allow at least 2 feet between other carts and 5 feet between carts and other objects. Make sure lids are securely shut, with no waste or recyclables extending beyond the container rim.

Holidays typically push our residential pickup schedules back one day with regular schedules resuming the following week.
To keep you in the loop during holidays, we’ll send you an email to let you know if you’ll be affected by a schedule change (you must have an email on file to receive these updates). You can also log in to your account and scroll down to the calendar on your dashboard to find out if a service interruption has impacted your schedule. Yes. Items that don’t fit in your trash container are considered bulk waste. To find if your address qualifies for bulk waste pickup, contact your local customer support representative. (To find the customer support phone number for your service area, head to our Contact Us page and enter your address.) If address qualifies, we’ll remove bulk items — such as furniture and appliances — and recycle or dispose of them properly. Some items, such as home furnishings, mattresses, carpet and appliances, may require special handling.

If you have purchased an existing home in the city limits you should already have a garbage container. It may be an individual 96 gallon container or a 300 gallon shared container in the alley. When the warranty deed is recorded with the County Clerk & Recorder, City Hall will receive a copy and update the utility billing records to the new property owner’s information.
